Photos have collapsed as a trust signal. Consumer image-generation and face-swap tools can create a plausible dating profile in minutes; users know this, and they no longer trust what they see. Voice is far harder to fake convincingly in a live, prompted exchange — the medium re-establishes trust that photo-first platforms have lost.
